Month 4

Married life has been great since my last blog entry. It is finally beginning to cool down after hot weeks of 90+ degree weather which is good for me because I can get MORE done now. I couldn't stand sitting in my hot bedroom without AC trying to edit thousands of images on my computer, it just wasn't happening! Different things have been going on this month. I attended a get-together two weeks ago and went without my husband and almost every person I came in contact with asked me, "Where is your husband?" followed by the next question of "When are you going to have a baby?". I was beginning to get a little annoyed, but I guess that's what is expected of a newlywed? Going everywhere together 24/7 and working on having kids four months after getting married. lol.

On to the next topic. I don't know if this only applies to Polynesians, but once you marry someone, you marry the whole family. And just like when you're in a workplace, you might get stuck with people who you clash with or always find yourself disagreeing with. Marriage is all about compromise, that's what I'm finding out.

"I'm sorry". Such a small phrase, yet in a marriage has such a huge impact. It is so important to say and hear this whether you're married or not. I'm grateful that my husband doesn't have a problem with this, but I do. Two little words that are very hard for me to say. I must work on this.

Recently, I came across the idea of trying or learning how to do something new each week. I thought I'd learn how to sew a button the first week (yea, I never took sewing class in high school and if my mom didn't sew it for me, I paid the Asian lady at the drycleaners to do it for me. haha), but instead I tried COUPONING and I LOVE it!! The first 3 days of learning how to do it, I spent an enormous time scouring the internet doing my own research. Finally, when I went to the store for the first time with my coupons aiming to pay close to nothing and seeing that it worked, I was ECSTATIC!! I never knew saving money could give me such a rush!! I can see my stockpile growing and I've only been doing it for 1 week!! I still have a lot to learn, but what I've done so far is pretty exciting. For me, that is. lol.
